Last year we took successful steps towards a more patient-friendly treatment of breast cancer. For the first time in Europe, patients are being radiated internally using implanted seeds. With our Target study and MaMaLoc study we are improving the accuracy of both the surgery and the radiation of the breast. Our Spacer study is finished; we will soon publish the good effects of the subcutaneous injection.
This year we are hoping to start our research concerning the NanoKnife treatment, that is removing breast cancer using electronic needles through the skin, which means no scars! Funding for this research was already awarded by Stichting Coolsingel. There still is more funding needed.
Will you keep supporting us this year to make breast cancer treatment more patient-friendly?
